The Connaught – legendary luxury hotel in London's Mayfair Village
Stately yet stylish design, historic yet cutting edge ambiance, attentive yet relaxed service - the Connaught hotel is a unique place to stay.
One of London's most historic and exclusive luxury hotels, the Connaught was renovated in 2007. As a result the hotel contains quite an unrivalled combination of eclectic design and historic character. Guests have the luxury of choosing between rooms styled in traditional, elegant and soft toned grandeur or sophisticated, clean and striking modernity. Throw in the outstanding service that has been ever present since the hotels inauguration in 1897, and the Connaught makes an exceptional place to stay. Not forgetting the list of accolades this luxury hotel can lay claim to though; The Connaught Bar has consistently ranked as one of the best in the world, The Aman spa is the first of its kind in Europe and the Terrace suite has one of the largest roof terraces in Mayfair.
The fantastically talented two Michelin-starred Hélène Darroze joined the Connaught shortly after its refurbishment, bringing with her classic French flavours from the south-west of France. The room is a classical affair with graceful mahogany panels lining its walls.
The curvaceous window lined Espelette conservatory is endlessly beautiful. Its floor to ceiling windows overlook Tadao Ando's 'Silence' water feature providing a setting of absolute tranquillity. Inside, the room is finished with rich colours and soft textures making it a fine place to enjoy afternoon tea.
At the front of the hotel is the sumptuous Coburg bar. It is an intimate and charismatic venue where guests can relax in privacy. Light bites are served accompanied by fine vintage drinks.
One of the most highly acclaimed bars in London, the Connaught Bar takes 1920’s art deco style and turns it into a 21st century masterpiece. Even its textured walls are glamorous - they sparkle with inlayed platinum leaf.
Aman Spa and Swimming Pool
The spa at the Connaught is Aman's first outside of one of its own resorts. It transports guests from the hotels traditional English character to an oasis of Asian-styled tranquillity. Also available to guests is a stunning swimming pool and crystal steam room.
